Avi Boxer was a Montreal East-end poet who flourished during the 1950’s literary foment alongside A.M. Klein, F.R. Scott, Louis Dudek, Irving Layton and Leonard Cohen.

I was staying with a friend in Ottawa a couple years ago. He had to work the morning I was leaving, so I found a picture of him and his (then) girlfriend and made this while I was waiting for the Greyhound.
