Hey Ian--I tried writing out the strumming pattern near the top of the tab. Just take it really slow and you'll start to get it eventually. It's definitely a tricky pattern, but a lot of fun to play once you've got it down. Keep your wrist loose and good luck!

Hey Ian,

Thanks for the kind words! You're very right about it being in A. You'll notice that while I've tabbed it in G, it's capo'd at the 2nd fret so it's tonality is still A. I usually sing in A, so it's just become second nature for me to capo at the 2nd with so many songs written in G.

I saw them playing it live once, and the singer was actually doing the rhythm with a capo on the 5th fret, and using E and A open chords for it. Just goes to show that there's usually a dozen ways to play the same thing, eh?
Best,
Matthew

hey, thanks for the good tab.. best ive found,

however, Im pretty sure the song is in A. The comment from concentric is correct, but those chords are not as he lists them.

Its A, then D, with the variations of course. His chords are A and D, just without the root notes on the bass strings. If you watch Wintersleep play it, you can see his hands on the 5th fret, without capo. So I think he's playing what concentric has suggested, just in the full barre chord. What do you think?

Try just playing A major, then extend the pinky finger to the 3rd fret on B string for the first variation. Then drop the first finger off the D string for the part where you have 'C', double time the strum and bring it back to A major. See what you think...

in any case, im certain its in A.
